HISTORY

Fremantle Power Tools (FPT) opened in 2001 providing power tools, accessories and repair services to mainly engineering businesses in the local Fremantle region, including Beaconsfield, Bibra Lake, Cockburn, Coogee, Hamilton Hill, Henderson, Jandakot, Melville, Myaree, O’Connor, Spearwood and Yangebup.  As a High Frequency tool specialist and focusing on service of quality brands like Bosch, Festool, Fein, Hitachi, Makita, Metabo and Nitto, the business grew and changed owners in November 2006.

The repair business continued to grow and in October 2009, Fremantle Power Tools moved to larger premises in Port Kembla Drive to house a growing workshop team.  A larger retail space also allowed for a much expanded range of industrial tools, products and brands supported by Australian Industrial Supplies (AIS).

At the end of 2014, the Western Australian economy had slowed to the extent that FPT had to downsize and in March 2015 the business moved to Howson Way in Bibra Lake.  The smaller premises enabled us to maintain our repair and retail service with reduced costs so that we could provide the best possible value to our customers.  In 2015, FPT joined the Hardware and Building Traders group to maintain competitive pricing while service and support remained our strength.   www.hbt.net.au

In July 2019, the retail shop premises was closed and the over the counter services sadly withdrawn.  We continue to offer products on this website and repair help information for DIY.

Recently a new owner acquired the business as the previous owners has decided to retire. The current owner is an enthusiastic educated with a master of mechanical engineering degree from Curtin University and very knowledgeable of all aspects of mechanical engineering design and maintenance of power tools he is commited to improve the business and make the website to grow and reach new levels.

Looking forward a road map for developing freopowertools to serve most of Australian states and territories and reach out globally been planned. New products will be available on the website sourced from different global manufacturing designed to serve Australian trades and market.
